Family Tour of Jordan

Jordan is a top destination for families, combing the best of the Middle East with incredible historic sites, stunning scenery, wonderful, friendly people and delicious food that even the most difficult of eaters cannot but enjoy. Jordan is a favourite country of ours.

What makes an itinerary so welcoming is that the flight time from the UK is relatively short, driving distances are manageable as it is a small country, there are lots of exciting activities that you can enjoy and still have time at the end to relax in either the Dead Sea or the Red Sea. Finally the country is very good value so the holiday does not need to break the bank.

Petra is undoubtedly one of the world’s great historic sites, home to the Nabatean but abandoned centuries ago. This lost city is possible more famous for the children as being the resting place of the 'Holy Grail' according to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade but the beauty of this lost city can be found by following a narrow cleft in the rock known as the Siq. With a guided tour explore this remarkable site where children can delight at everything from goats tracks to shadows dancing on the walls.

Following the history trail you can find some of the best preserved Roman ruins at Jerash with its highlight of a triple archway leading into colonnaded streets, temples, theatres and baths.

Enjoy a four wheel drive to the desert at Wadi Rum where the the huge rock sculptures, natural rock bridges, steep sand dunes, camels and stunning sunsets provide an adventure playground for children and adults alike! After a full day join a Bedouin family for tea and then sleep under the stars in an overnight camp.
